A three-day foundation holiday for all breeds, led by Sam Davis — an experienced gundog trainer and competitor who works primarily with retrievers and runs many of our foundation programmes.

This level is for dogs and handlers who are starting to build consistency. Your dog probably recalls well when things are calm but struggles when distractions kick in. Retrieving is there but not always reliable, and steadiness is still a work in progress — this holiday picks up exactly there.

You'll work on marking, memory retrieves, and building the kind of reliability that holds when it counts, across grassland, woodland, and water. Cold game sessions and water work are included where conditions allow. All breeds welcome.

Shot exposure is beneficial but not mandatory at foundation level. Onsite accommodation available to book separately.
